Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega is an accomplished business leader who currently serves as a director of Grupo Televisa S.A.. The company is regarded as the largest broadcaster in the Spanish world. Noriega has been serving the Televisa’s board since April 1997, and he is the current executive vice president of the enterprise. He was once a board member of Grupo Modelo SAB de CV, which appointed him to act as the chairman of its finance committee. Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega has also had an opportunity to serve on the boards of companies such Pepsi Bottling Group (Mexico), Bolsa Mexican de Valores, Sky, Empresas Cablevision, and many other enterprises. The current CEO of Grupo Televisa, Emilio Azcárraga, once hired Noriega to act as his attorney. The two worked together in developing great legal and financial strategies for the company after the death of Azcárraga’s father, Emilio Azcárraga Milmo.
Alfonso has been Azcárraga’s close friend for many years, and he is appreciated for making significant contributions towards the growth of the Grupo Televisa’s finances. As the executive VP of the enterprise, he assisted it in creating a $1.2 billion partnership with Univision. The deal has been beneficial since it has enabled Televisa to easily access the U.S Hispanic market, which is highly sought after by many corporations. Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega is also appreciated for the excellent contribution that he makes towards charity. He currently serves Kardias A.C. as the chairperson of its board of trustees. Alfonso is also part of the board of Fundación Mexicana para la Salud A.C. He is committed to ensuring that these nonprofit organizations accomplish their goals.
